Bottom-rankedBasket Ostrava (0-11) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 95-47 loss to eighth ranked Trutnov (4-7) in Trutnov. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Basket Ostrava 's 26 and made 20-of-24 charity shots (83.3 percent) during the game, while Basket Ostrava only scored three points from the stripe. Elizabete Bulane orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 4 assists. American power forward Kiara Bell (188-2000, college: UMBC) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Bell is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Trutnov players scored in double figures. French forward Janelle Salaun (188-2001) answered with 9 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and American center Emma Merriweather (196-1998, college: ULM) added 6 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Basket Ostrava. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Trutnov moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Chomutov. Newly promoted Basket Ostrava still closes the standings with 11 games lost.
